Great South Coast Walk

I would like to suggest for those who don’t particularly want to walk through the more urban/industrial areas of Wollongong and Port Kembla an alternative option. South Coast Bike Hire has bikes available at four caravan parks; Bulli Beach and Corrimal Beach Tourist Parks (on the northern side of Wollongong) and also at Windang Beach Tourist Park as well as the Shellharbour Resort (both on the southern side of Port Kembla). I would imagine that it would be well possible to arrange a one way bike hire through this company and that would allow walkers to cover the full distance of the more urban and industrial areas in one day, still “under their own steam” so to speak, if walking through these areas wasn’t so appealing to them.
